Organic Oils

Apricot Kernel also has a high percentage of oleic acid content, which makes it incredibly absorbent and supple.
Argan * - Extracted from the kernels of the argan tree, Argan Oil is one of the rarest and most expensive oils in the world. Abundant with super-high levels of Vitamin E, antioxidants and essential fatty acids, it’s excellent for repairing cell membranes, preventing premature aging, reducing inflammation and retaining moisture. Argan is also rich in proteins, which help tighten the skin, minimize wrinkles and improve elasticity. Experts believe that Argan Oil can also help with many skin conditions, from dry skin patches to psoriasis, eczema and acne.
Avocado * - This oil is rich in Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, and E as well as amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin, and other essential fatty acids. Avocado Oil is great for those with skin ailments such as eczema, psoriasis, and other skin problems.
Borage Seed * - Cold pressed from the seeds of Borago officinalis, commonly referred to as Star Flower herb, which has been used, for centuries, in the food industry due to its rich source of GLA (gamma linolenic acid), which are known to improve immune function, and the overall condition of the skin. Borage seed oil contains one of the highest levels of GLA making it a must have for any soap designed to soothe dry and sensitive skin, as well as for any inflammatory skin conditions. Borage seed oil offers regenerative, and firming, properties helping to restore hydration and elasticity which makes it a perfect choice for Anti-Aging Skin care and Dry, Damaged, Skin care lines.
Camellia Seed * - A moisturizing oil that absorbs into deepest layers of the skin, making its rejuvenating effects both lasting and powerful. Camellia is derived from wildflowers cultivated throughout China and Japan and is rich with vitamins, A, B, and E and nourishing minerals. It is also a rich source of omegas that help protect the skin against free radicals and sun damage.
Carrot Seed Oil * - An oil that is very high in both vitamins and minerals. Carrot Seed Oil is considered to be one of the best oils to rejuvenate and regenerate skin tissues. It helps to remove toxic build-up in the skin, improving the skin’s complexion. It can be used to soothe burns, blisters and scars; and is considered suitable for all skin types, especially dry and mature aging skin.
Castor Oil* - This pale-colored oil extracted from castor beans in highly therapeutic. In soap it acts as an emollient, humectant, and softener, adds and retains moisture and protects the skin. It is also used to treat dry, lacerated, and chapped skin, including psoriasis. It makes a soft, conditioning bar with bubbly, stable lather. Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid, which delivers anti-inflammatory benefits to the skin.
Coconut * - A powerful moisturizer that is beneficial to restoring dry or flaking skin. Coconut oil contains antioxidant Vitamin E, known to protect skin cells from damage over time. The Vitamin E found in coconut oil soothes eczema, sunburn and psoriasis, and it has antiviral and anti fungal benefits Coconut oil contains 3 fatty acids: capric acid, lauric acid and caprylic acid.
Evening Primrose * - A wonderfully smooth oil rich with GLA essential fatty acids, ideal for dry or mature skin. Grape Seed * - Another oil known for its great anti-aging benefits, Grape Seed Oil is light, absorbent and helps to regulate your skin’s natural oil production—making it ideal for oily skin. Found to lighten age spots and pigmented skin caused by UV rays, Grape Seed Oil has been shown in scientific studies to have more linoleic acid than most oils, as well as more antioxidant power than Vitamins C and E. Neem * - Neem oil is loaded with nutrients. It is extremely beneficial for eczema prone skin and will benefit people who suffer from psoriasis and acne. Its astringent properties help to cure minor cuts and wounds. It also contains carotenoids which provide high antioxidants that defend the skin against age promoting free radicals. Neem oil is high in essential fatty acids and Vitamins. It gets easily absorbed by the skin and rejuvenates it and improves its elasticity. Neem oil is ideal for acne prone skin because it clears up pimples and removes bacteria that cause break outs. Neem oil contains aspirin like compound which removes the acne causing bacteria from the skin. Olive * - Once referred to as “liquid gold” by Homer, Olive Oil has been used as a beauty and skin care remedy by the Phoenicians, Greeks, Egyptians and Romans. Today, it’s still prized for everything from erasing stretch marks and minimizing wrinkles to anti-aging therapy and deep hydration. One reason Olive Oil is so effective is that it’s rich in antioxidants, such as Vitamins A and E, polyphenols, phytoserols and the rare compound, Hydroxytyrosol, all of which help repair skin and neutralize the free radicals that cause skin damage. These antioxidants have a natural ability to stimulate cells and bring skin back to a firmer, healthier state.
Palm * - Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil derived from the mesocarp (reddish pulp) of the fruit of the oil palms, primarily the African oil palm. It is naturally reddish because of a high beta-carotene (Vitamin A) content. Palm oil is actually 15 times richer in Vitamin A than a carrot! Beta-Carotene (or Vitamin A) is a carotenoid, which is found in foods like carrots, tomatoes, and pumpkins. Carotenoids are well known for fighting the damage done to your skin due to UV ray exposure. This makes palm oil a wonderful ingredient that helps not only to prevent damage from sunburn, but to stop premature aging as well.Palm oil contains a high concentration of Vitamin E. This particular vitamin is very special because it contains tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are antioxidants within the Vitamin E family and are much rarer and much stronger than the common form of Vitamin E known as tocopherols. Tocotrienols are more effective in protecting the skin, for they are able to penetrate much deeper into the bottom most layers of your skin. Adding palm oil into any natural soap results in the soap having a pleasant lather with nice medium bubbles. Palm oil increases the hardness of the bar and helps it last longer.
Pumpkin Seed * - Pumpkin seed oil is rich in vitamin E, zinc, omega 3- and 6- fatty acids as well as antioxidants, therefore it has tremendous benefits for the skin in terms of retaining moisture, fighting free radicals and maintaining a youthful appearance. The high amounts of zinc and vitamin E also improve skin tone, help wounds heal more rapidly, fight acne and help with skin renewal. Lastly, many of the minerals and vitamins have anti-aging effects as well.
Rose Hip * - Rose Hip Seed Oil is one of the best oils available for anti-aging and skin rejuvenation. Activated Charcoal - Activated charcoal means the carbon is infused with oxygen and is prepared for human ingestion (in the case of poisoning or detox) and skincare products. Possibly the most absorbent cosmetic ingredient out there, activated charcoal is said to have the ability to absorb thousands of times its own weight.This super absorbency, plus antibacterial properties, makes activated charcoal an ideal ingredient for oily and acne prone skin types. It is used in acne products to draw out impurities, heal pimples, and prevent further breakouts. Also an anti-aging ingredient, activated charcoal is said to tighten pores and smooth the skin. It also reduces inflammation, which is significant in preventing premature aging.
Alkanet Root Powder - Alkanet root is primarily used as a natural dyeing agent, and it imparts a ruby red color to natural fibers, wool, wood, stone, lip balm, lipstick, ointments, salve, soap, lotion, and to tint oils, vinegar, tinctures, varnishes, or wine. However, Alkanet root is now mainly used as a dyeing agent. In soap, Alkanet root will yield shades of pink, blue, and purple, depending upon the amount used, types of oil used, and the alkalinity of the soap.
Allantoin - Allantoin is a natural soothing, anti-irritant, and skin protectant that increases the water content of the extracellular matrix which provides structural support to cells and is an important part of connective tissue. Allantoin also increases the smoothness of the skin; promotes cell replication; and promotes the healing of wounds, burns, and scars.
Aloe Vera Juice * - Aloe Vera is well respected for its application as a moisturizing agent. It contains vitamin B complex, folic acid, vitamin C and carotene (a precursor of vitamin A)
Annatto Seeds * - Annatto seeds come from the fruit of the achiote tree, commonly called the lipstick tree. The fruit is inedible but the seeds have been used for thousands of years for making dyes and spices. Annatto is used today as a coloring for many foods.
Australian Reef Red Clay - Australian Reef Red Clay is ideal for dry, sensitive skin. Red clay delicately replenishes and heals tired skin cells. With its rich mineral content Red clay enhances the skin condition and appearance . It’s high iron content and essential minerals help to replenish and regenerate the epidermis of the skin to create soft and healthy glowing skin.
Bamboo Leaf Extract - With high levels of silica, the extract contains 10 times the amount of silica found in Horsetail, an herb known for its silica content and benefits to skin and hair. Its addition to products, softens the skin and smooths the appearance of wrinkles.
Bentonite Clay - Bentonite clay is sometimes called Montmorillonite, and is known to be one of the most effective and powerful healing clays. Bentonite clay carries a strong negative charge which bonds to the positive charge in many toxins. When it comes in contact with a toxin, chemical, or heavy metal, the clay will absorb the toxin and release it’s minerals for the body to use. Bentonite also helps get oxygen to cells as it pulls excess hydrogen and allows the cells to replace it with oxygen instead.

Burdock Root * - Burdock Root is a biennial with large, wavy leaves and round heads of purple flowers. Burdock Root Extract contains vitamins B complex and E. In addition, it boasts trace minerals of potassium, phosphorous, chromium, cobalt, iron, magnesium, silicon, zinc and sodium. Burdock Root has been used in cosmetic products to increase circulation to the skin, helping to detoxify the epidermal tissues. It has also been traditionally used in hair care products and products for the treatment of acne, and other scaly skin disorders.
Calendula Petals * - Dried calendula petals are a great addition to soap because they maintain their color imparting an orange color to the soap. The petals are antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and immune stimulating. These properties are useful for treating various types of dermatitis such as eczema.
Much of the healing properties of calendula are because of its high levels of carotenoids (vitamin A like compounds). Because these compounds are oil soluble, an infused oil is a good way to go. Calendula also contains oil soluble sterols that help plump the skin and keep it thick.

Colloidal Oatmeal * - Colloidal Oatmeal is generally used in the bath as an additive to bath water, which moisturizes dry and problem skin, especially that of eczemic skin in children. Indigo Powder - Indigo powder will create a beautiful blue hue in soaps. The shade is very similar to that of blue denim.
